Chiropractic and Naturopathic medicine is not only the careers that Ryan and I have chosen to take up...but it also is the lifestyle we strive to embody.
Even more pregnancy, we started to become more and more aware of the effects simple things such as exercise, posture, FOOD, etc could have on your body.
Now during the pregnancy, I've been able to be even more picky about those things...granted I indulge here and there. But I've been able to maintain a gradual normal weight gain, staying active, loading up on all my vitamins, fish oil, etc, and keep my pain level (musculoskeletal-wise) to a minimum! (It's definitely a perk being married to a very very very good Chiropractor!)
I really can't imagine not receiving Chiropractic care everyday in some form whether it's muscle work, stretching, or manipulations throughout this pregnancy. My husband works six days a week...more than 50 hours a week...and comes home every night more than willing to give me a massage, stretch tight muscles, and adjust me.
It has truly been my miracle drug.
We are even planning on bringing our portable Chiropractic table into the birth suite with us during labor as a possible avenue to help alleviate the pain! The freedom and possibilities when you aren't giving birth in a typical hospital room are amazing...worth every penny:)
...now if only something could be done about these constant trips to the bathroom...
hehe :)
